I just finished watching Serial Experiments Lain and I am completely blown away by how ahead of its time it is. The exploration of identity, reality, and the influence of the internet is so thought-provoking. The complex narrative and the surreal atmosphere kept me glued to the screen. Lain as a character is so enigmatic and her journey is both fascinating and disturbing. The visual style and the soundtrack perfectly complement the eerie tone of the series. It’s definitely a mind-bending experience that leaves you with more questions than answers, but that’s what makes it so brilliant.
