One of my favorite tricks is making a hearty stew using whatever scraps of meat and vegetables I can scavenge. Throw them all into a pot with some water, season it with herbs and spices you find along the way, and let it simmer over a fire. Not only does it provide essential nutrients, but it also warms you up on those cold nights in the wasteland.

Foraging for edible plants and mushrooms is another valuable skill to have. Learn to identify what you can eat safely, and you’ll never go hungry. Just remember the golden rule: when in doubt, go without.
