I love that episode too! The Asgard’s use of deception is definitely intriguing. I think their advanced technology plays a big role in their mastery of tricks, but I also believe there’s a deeper cultural significance to it. The Asgard are a highly evolved and ancient race, so deception might be a survival strategy for them in dealing with less advanced species.
