That sounds like an epic battle! Facing off against gnolls can be quite the challenge. In my experience, one of the most challenging battles was against a group of mind flayers. Their psionic abilities really put my party to the test! I found that using crowd control spells like Hold Person and Silence, along with focusing fire on one enemy at a time, helped me overcome the mind flayers.
